Hyperloop Technologies is an American research company formed to make the Hyperloop concept a reality. Unlike Hyperloop Transportation Technologies it is not crowdsourced. It has undergone a seed round led by SherpaVentures. ==Project== The project of Hyperloop as envisioned by Elon Musk was to develop a high speed, intercity transporter using a low pressure tube train which would reach a top speed of with a yearly capacity of 15 million passengers. Hyperloop Technologies plans to go beyond Elon Musk's initial vision and build a Hyperloop that can transport freight cargo between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The CEO is Rob Lloyd, former Cisco President of Sales and Development. Former SpaceX engineer and Hyperloop Technologies cofounder Brogan Bambrogan–the previous CEO–became CTO with Lloyd's arrival. The Board of Directors is composed of Shervin Pishevar, David O.
